The Best Things Have Been Calumniated

I love Logos 4. Google eBooks may one day supersede it; I don’t think so, but who knows? But right now Logos 4 is the best think you can buy if you want to gather a serious software library of scholarly level Bible study materials. For what it’s worth, here are a few problems I still have with Logos, things I hope they’ll change or fix: Logos is slow. I have a fairly fast, new machine with 4 GB of RAM, and I still frequently have to wait for my clicks to register. I need an “expand all” option...

Carson: The God Who Is There, 4 DVDS $12

Carson's video teaching series, "The God Who Is There" (the book is above), is available free on Vimeo. Carson is always worth hearing, and this would make for a good evangelistic Bible study. Ticker Updated

Two big chapters just got approved, so my Dissertation Word Count Ticker has been duly updated. Thank you for your prayers, those who have prayed. I've been able to accomplish much by God's grace in recent months. I have some major distance left to travel, but I'm on flat ground rather than on an uphill climb, and I think I see right ahead of me the place where the road turns downhill and I can pick up speed! I am thankful to the Lord, because two months ago, the ticker looked like this:...

They Hate Christ Even by His Other Names

The standard line on the new Narnia movie: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Around the time the kids are tiring of “The Deathly Hallows,” the Pevensie family will be returning to the screen for a little adventure of their own. Or, make that half of the Pevensie family, with only Lucy (Georgie Henley) and Edmund (Skandar Keynes) boarding the Dawn Treader for an adventurous ocean voyage full of dragons, dwarfs and no doubt that annoying lion (voice of Liam Neeson) spewing...
