Great With Flour
Now I know what it’s like to be my wife at 8 mos. Only she can’t put Aden Edwards Ward back in the cupboard when the experiment is over. I wore the sacks of flour all around the house (I’m not allowed to tell you how many pounds it was). Laura cackled throughout the entire process, especially as I struggled to get out of a sitting position. Lying down was even worse. I’m going to need a serious backrub after this. And I know someone who owes me about 50 of ‘em from the last few...

Logos 4 Word Study on γάγα

But back to my second love: Logos has really done it. In several weeks of usage I am convinced. Meshing the program so thoroughly with the Internet was brilliant. Adding cover...
Love Thinketh No Evil
If you can reasonably interpret facts in two possible ways, God calls you to embrace the positive interpretation over the negative, or at least to postpone making any judgment at all until you can acquire conclusive facts. —Ken Sande, “Judging Others: The Danger of Playing God,” The Journal of Biblical Counseling, Fall 2002, 21:1. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Pet. 4:8 ESV)
C. S. Lewis on Climate Change
Lewis’ words ground me when major scientific issues arise. I as a voting citizen—and, more importantly, a human charged with wise dominion over the earth—am responsible to evaluate the public arguments as best I can, which is something I do through major (responsible) news sources. But I generally do not have the training or the expertise to make an independent determination on scientific matters, and most other people don’t either. I have to trust some authority. The debate for us non-experts...
