Hi Dr. Ward. I just finished reading your new book “Authorized.” You may remember me as one of the three young men from the Master’s Chorale you invited to rehearse and perform barbershop tags in a coffee shop somewhere in the Pacific Northwest last May. 🙂 The book was excellent. I’ve been doing a lot of reading and thinking on the subject of Bible translation lately, and your book hit a sweet spot with its emphasis on using *all* of them. My search for “the one” has led me back time and again to the thought that there isn’t one; reading such a delightful argument and summary of why that is the case, framed as it was in the use and misuse of the KJV, was wonderful and enlightening, and I will gladly commend the book to others. I’m slotted to speak to my (very small) church about this subject next Sunday and Lord willing I hope to impress upon our people the same point that you made. Thanks again. Looking forward to checking out some of your other books as well.
