I have reached post 1,000 on my blog! A lot of those thousand posts are little things like links and quotes, but a lot of them are dense with prose I created myself, as bloggers do, using an old-fashioned recipe of 2 parts keyboard and 3 parts research opinions coming from a dense region near the top of my head.
To celebrate my 1,000th post, I am giving away at least two prizes, maybe more.
- The first person to comment on this post will receive Michael Horton’s brand new, hardback Pilgrim Theology, a rewritten condensation of his big systematic (courtesy of the fellow blogger whose urging finally got me to start this blog). WON by Ryan Shanahan!
- The 15th commenter will receive a copy of Tim Chester and Steve Timmis’ Everyday Church, a great little book I personally recommend. WON by Wesley Barley!
- The 30th commenter, if there is one, will get a mystery gift.
- The 60th commenter, if there is one, will get a mystery gift.
- Mystery gifts will be sent out to further commenters at my discretion.
I will not approve any comments until I get 15 comments. And you can’t comment twice! That means you had better comment as fast as possible to get one of the four prizes.
(And I’m sorry, but I won’t ship internationally—though on the off chance that someone outside the U.S. wins, I might have something up my sleeve for you anyway!)
I enjoy your blog – thanks
Hi.
Congratulations on reaching 1000 posts! And to think, I can say I knew you before you were famous!
This is a comment. I enjoy reading your blog! Keep up the good work!
Hey Mark, congratulations on being a grand old man in the blog world!
(And if I happen to win something, I’ve even got a US address you can mail stuff too.)
Congrats on the 1,000th post. Hope you keep it up.
Really enjoy your blog! Thanks!
This seems like a thinly veiled way to find out how many readers you have. 🙂
Congratulations on your 1,000th post.
Congratulations on your 1000th post! I am a faithful follower. Am I the first to comment??
Comment!
Wooot! I’ve enjoyed following your posts (trying hard to leave a substantial reply so that I would feel nice about myself.. :))
Hi Mark,
I hope you keep blogging (I mean that). And I hope I win a prize (I mean that, too).
Congrats–Tim Miller
Congratulations on 1,000 posts 🙂
I’ve always said that one can never have too many theology books so thought it worth a try at sending a comment!
Thanks for letting us join the conversation.
Congratulations Mark!
Woohoo! Looks like I’m in line for the Horton book!
Thank you Mark for your blog. I have enjoyed your insights for the past few years.
Congratulations on your 1,000th post. I have only started reading this blog within the past year or so but have found it both beneficial and, at times, challenging.
I hope you are able to stick around for another 1,000 or more posts.
