A new church web site idea: don’t let anyone in but members, and greet every visitor with a big “DONATE NOW” button?
I truly don’t mean to criticize—I want every Bible-teaching church to be successful in advancing Christ’s kingdom. But I’m really curious: am I just missing something?
Why would I donate when I can’t even get in to read anything about it? 🙂
Perhaps it is intended as an easy way for *members* to do their tithing? Just trying to stay positive.
It may be a false front. Perhaps they are a new church plant (in need of money) and their “site” is not even really up yet.
It says on that page that their site is under construction. Not sure why they have the donate now button, but that’s why you can’t get in yet – it’s not done.
I could be wrong, Eric, but I don’t think the statement about the site being under construction was up when I first ran into the page. I’m glad they clarified!
