Want to listen to ESV audio? You can always do it for free at the ESV website.

Or you can buy it for $10 from one of my favorite Bible software retailers, Rejoice Christian Software.

Make sure to get on their mailing list for more great deals—including a nice price on the IVP Essential Reference Collection for Logos, a resource I turn to frequently.

That’s pretty cool, thanks! I’ve been listening through the KJV with these freely available MP3s: http://tinyurl.com/z67e5

I know the KJV isn’t as “cool” today as the ESV, but let’s not forget that it was originally “appointed to be read in churches.” Old verbiage or not, it still sounds great. I was actually surprised by how well I retained (and understood) long passages from the OT after I had listened.

Wow, great deal. A third of the price of the Crossway audio bibles. However in comparing the narrators, I think I prefer the Crossway version with David Heath over Johnson on these. (I have been using esv.org for a while to listen. I kind of enjoyed Max McLean even with that weird synthesizer background. But Heath has now become my favorite [using the esvstudybible.com site])

Also interesting how the Johnson recording is on 3 CDs verses Crossway 6. I wonder what the bit rate is. The publisher didn’t have it listed.
