Married, Hitched, Plunged

by Jun 3, 2008Uncategorized1 comment

I am married. I have gotten hitched. I have taken the plunge.

It was well worth it. I wish I had done this long ago. Laura is the best wife I could ever have hoped for, far better than I knew—and I aim to find out more.

I wanted greater holiness for myself out of this marriage, and I feel I got it in the first minute. It’s been growing since. Praying and reading the Bible with Laura are deeply pure and enjoyable. Even communion at church on Sunday night was especially rich. Laura said the same; I am so glad.

I have gotten a good thing. I have obtained God’s favor.

A Brief Testimony:

One of our non-Christian relatives came to the wedding and was especially struck by the loving spirit of the people at Laura’s home church. So many neatly dressed, respectful, helpful, loving young people—he was nearly speechless. Nearly. He simply commented that everyone at Laura’s church seemed “complete.” My godly mother-in-law got to witness for forty-five minutes to this dear relative, a man who’s been closed for many years to the gospel.

Praise the Lord. What greater thrill could I have on my wedding day than to see the Lord bring joy to all and glory to Himself?

    Thats great…on both accounts.
I am so happy for you both. An excellent example of a godly man and woman coming together to glorify God.
It’s also great to hear that your relative to to hear the Gospel.
    What a day!
