Interesting article about layout and design. I read an article on creation on a site that this blog linked to. I’m still wondering why the KJV recently changed in Genesis 1:1 from the plural “heavens” to the singular “heaven.” Why did it change after 400 years? Granted, it’s just one letter, but it seems like a big change.
But getting back to style, does King James have a sense of humor? The KJV has some pretty interesting emojis:
Exodus 23:15 appear before me empty:)
Exodus 30:13 (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) – What is so funny about gerahs? Why did King James make a smiley face here?
Exodus 32:25 among their enemies:)
Leviticus 24:11 of the tribe of Dan:) – What is so funny about that tribe?
Numbers 34:2 with the coasts thereof:)
None of the above make any sense, grammatically speaking. They are all grammatically incorrect. They only make sense in the modern languages and modes of communication, especially electronic. I am an older guy and we never had emojis as a kid. I don’t even remember them before 10 years ago. I don’t think they were around 400 years ago either! Do you think that King James is some kind of prophet and a genius who was able to foretell electronic communication 400 years in advance and he put in these emojis to try to tell us something? Again, they make absolutely no sense grammatically, so I really don’t know why they are there.

I see that you are from BJU. I am not familiar with that place, other than hearing the name of it and knowing it’s a Bible college. What is the Bible collage that is mentioned in the Bible? Is it still in existence today?
2 Chronicles 34:22 keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) – Was the dress code of the college was too strict? Is that why there is a smiley face there?
